Health and Status Monitor page
the Health and Status Monitor provides
information about the RAID group status,
FastStream VT environmental status, Ethernet
and Fibre Channel interface states, and drive
status, including links to diagnostics and more
detailed information.

If you are not already in the ExpressNAV
interface, type the IP address of your appliance,
as found in
Use the ExpressNAV interface
on
page 27, in a standard browser, click
Enter

and type in your user name and
password.

Monitor VTL
page appears. On the menu
at the left hand side of the page, click on
Monitor
.

Health and Status Monitor
page appears.
If you click
Details,
added information about
each parameter appears on the
Configuration
Display
page (refer to
Configuration Display
page
below).
• RAID Groups: RAID Group names, RAID
status, available Hot Spares and the number
of Hot Spares which have been substituted
for faulted drives.
• Environmental Status: Temperature and
voltage of the FastStream VT
• Interface
Status:
Ethernet management port
link status and Fibre Channel port link, speed
and connection mode
• Drive status by port: Size and status
If you click on
Drive Health
, the
Drive
Performance and Health
page appears (refer
to
Measure drive performance and health
on
page 20) which may also be reached by clicking
on the left hand menu item
Diagnostics
.
If you click on
System Scan
, the FastStream
VT scans for attached drives and populates the
Port 1 Drives
and
Port 2 Drives
sections of the
page.
