DURING THIS ADJUSTMENT.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE MAST HEIGHT
It is necessary to correctly adjust the mobile mast
sections in height for the mast to function properly.
An incorrect setting would result in contact between
the pulleys and chain anchors.
-NOTE-
Two chains connect the mast section n°1 with the mast
section n°3, two chains connect the mast section n° 2
with the mast section n°4 and two chains connect the
mast section n° 3 with the mast section n°5 .
1- Tension the chains and ensure they are in line with the
pulleys.
2- The first chain stage linking the first mast section to the
third one must be adjusted first.
3- Tighten or loosen the nuts on the chain anchors on the
opposite side of the chain slack sensor ; that is for the
first chain system , the nuts on the chain anchors on the
mast section n°3 and for the second , the nuts on the
mast section n°2. The nuts must be tightened or
loosened to obtain a play of 2 to 5 mm between mast
sections n°2 and 3, between the mast sections n°3 and
4 and between the mast sections n°4 and n°5.
4- Each chain must have approximately the same
deflection and must be balanced using the nuts.
5- Repeat the operation the same way with the second et
third chain system.
WARNING
ENSURE THE INSIDE OF THE MAST
SECTIONS ARE KEPT CLEAN AND
GREASED TO PREVENT THE MAST
FROM JAMMING.
WARNING
ADJUSTMENT OF THE TRANSVERSAL
PLAY BETWEEN THE MAST SECTIONS
MUST BE PERFORMED BY TRAINED
AND QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
