STEERING BAR INSTALLATION (5).
20- Install the washers (28) on the pivots.
21- Install the steering bar (5) making sure the wheels are straight.
22- Install the washers (28) then the split pins (32), new if necessary.
- Reconnect the hydraulic hoses as tagged previously to the cylinder (15).
- Secure the wheel(s) with the wheel nuts and tighten the nuts using a torque wrench at 193 Nm
(refer to the procedure § 1.1.2).
Reconnect the batteries and operate the steering function a few times to control the good working
order of the steering cylinder and associated mechanical components.
1.1.4 SLEWING RING
The machine is fitted with a turret where the slewing is produced by a turntable bearing with worm
gear coupled to a hydraulic motor.
Adequate lubrication will guarantee a long service life for the bearing and gear teeth.
LUBRICATION FREQUENCY
Lubrication frequency should be adapted to the operating conditions and of the environment. The
assembly should be greased every 150 hours when operating with no particular constraints. The
interval is to be reduced to 50 hours under severe operating conditions or in a dusty or humid
environment.
Lubrication is necessary before and after a long period of storage. During long storage periods, the
bearing must be lubricated and the structure rotated every 6 months.
GREASE QUANTITY
On the bearing track:
A small new grease beading must appear on the lips of the protective seal.
On teeth :
By spraying or with a brush, the grease must cover completely the sides of the sprockets and of
the turntable bearing.
