The Dispensing Valve, CONTINUED

DVO6 CLEANING MAINTENANCE

EXERCISE 3-7

Cleaning the valve

Fill an ultrasonic cleaner with an appropriate cleaning solvent for the dispensing fluid to
be dissolved.

Immerse the valve valve body in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Activate the ultrasonic cleaner for two minutes.

Clean the fluid channel, syringe port channel, and feed screw chamber using the bottle
brush while the ultrasonic cleaner is running.

Remove the valve body after two minutes.

Remove any powdery residue remains on the body with pressurized air.

Clean the feed screw carefully using a soft cloth and cleaning fluid.

EXERCISE 3-8

Reassembling

the valve

Insert the feedscrew into the valve valve body through the Teflon lip seal.

Insert and tighten the recessed screws on the underside of the valve body.

Attach a clean syringe port.

Install the O-ring and plug screw into the valve using the 3/32-inch hex key.

Slide the valve into the bracket from the left side or top depending on the type of valve
mount.

Tighten the three setscrews on the right side of the valve using the 1/16-inch hex key.

Connect the CB06N Interface Cable to the valve.
