STUDENT GUIDE
LESSON 10 Powering Up and Down
OBJECTIVE: Upon completion of this lesson, the student should be able to
demonstrate how to power up and power down the Century Series.
The green system status light on the Control Panel indicates when your Century
Series system is ready to operate.
EXERCISE 1-7 Starting up after a production shutdown:
1. Turn ON the Main Power Switch.
2. Turn ON Control Panel Power Switch
3. Turn ON the Computer and Monitor Power Switch.
4. Close all other programs.
5. Double-click the FMW icon in the FMW Program Group to start FMW.
6. Click RUN A PROGRAM.
7. Click SETUP.
8. Select PROMPTED SETUP.
9. Follow the on-screen prompts.
10. Click LOAD.
11. Select the program you wish to run.
12. Click OK.
EXERCISE 1-8 Service Start Up:
1. Reconnect the Main Power Cord from the Main Power Inlet if it was disconnected for
servicing.
2. Reconnect the Main Air In if it was disconnected
3. Turn ON the Main Power Switch.
4. Turn ON the Control Panel Power Switch
5. Press SYSTEM RESET on the Control Panel
6. Perform Steps 4-12 in Exercise 5.
