Touch an open well indicator or place the second positive control BI in an open
well. The reader will ask to confirm that a second positive control is being added. Touch
No to go to the Status Screen. Touch Yes and refer to the “Adding a Positive Control BI”
section (Chapter 4) for further instructions.

Note:
The reader cannot confirm the test results without comparing the results to a
valid positive control.

Second Negative Result on a Positive Control
A second negative result on a positive control BI will be accompanied by an
audible alarm and a red warning screen which indicates the well where the negative
result occurred. Touch
Continue
or remove the BI to silence the alarm and go to the
next steps. Enter the operator’s name and follow the directions for handling a second
negative result. Touch
