5.2.2.2. Keyboard Follow (Kbd Follow)
(DCW and AMP envelopes only)
This parameter, located to the right of the Envelope mode menu, affects the overall duration
of the envelope depending on where you're playing on the keyboard:
For Amp Envelopes:
When the value is above zero, the envelope duration will shorten as upper notes are played,
just as the upper notes of a piano decay more quickly than low notes.
♪
: The Keyboard Follow parameter has no effect on a synced MSEG Amp envelope.
For DCW Envelopes:
When the value is above zero, the envelope amount will be less as upper notes are played,
so that the lower octaves will have more overtones, and higher octaves will have fewer
overtones.
In both cases, the higher the
Kbd Follow
number, the greater the difference will be between
the lower and upper notes of the scale.
The maximum value is 9, with a value of 0 having no effect.
Double-click the field to reset it
to 0.
5.2.2.3. Zoom and Drag
To zoom in and out on the envelope display:
Click and hold on the
(the "ruler area") and drag vertically: drag down to zoom in (show a
smaller time period) or drag up to zoom out (show a longer time period).
To automatically zoom to show the entire envelope:
Double-click on the ruler area.
To move the time display earlier or later:
Click and hold on the ruler and drag horizontally,
left or right.
! : The Ruler Bar shows a numerical time scale for MSEG envelopes only.
