6.2.2. Sample and Hold

Sample and Hold is a function generator most commonly recognized by its stairstep

appearance. It takes a momentary "snapshot" of a signal and holds on to that level for

a specific period of time. Then it takes another sample and holds that, and so on. The

resulting signal can then be used as a modulation source in the Mod Matrix (Mod Source =

SampleAndHold).

To use the sample and hold generator in the CZ V, the first step is to choose the signal that

you want to sample by clicking on the box just underneath the graphic display. Then a pull-

down menu appears with the available choices:

The Sample & Hold
