Now, when you click and drag on the UNISON DETUNE and play a note, you’ll hear the
characteristic sound of two slightly out-of-tune notes beating against each other. Low
settings sound a bit like flanging, higher settings like fast chorusing…in fact, this detuning is
the effect that a digital chorus effect emulates. Higher settings of DETUNE also widen the
stereo effect.
The original Casio instruments had a maximum unison setting of two. In our updated
version you can have as many as eight copies stacked on top of each other, in which case
the maximum polyphony is four notes at a time.
