24 Side Rail Soft Drop Damper and Bracket - Replacement (optional)
This section describes how to replace the split side rail Damper and Bracket. Reference is made
throughout this drawings. “Side rail modules (soft drop)” (Figure 22), “Soft drop damper - replacement”
(Figure 24) and “Soft drop bracket replacement” (Figure 25).
New Soft drop damper 18 should always be changed with the new bolt (Fig 22, Item 23) and nut
(Fig 22, Item 24).
24.1 Removal
Damper:
24.1.1 Loosen the nut (Fig 22, Item 24) attached to the S Side upper arm. Unscrew the bolt
(Fig 22, Item 23) from Side rail upper arm. Pry off and discard the starlock (Fig 22, Item 30).
Brackets:
24.1.2 Remove Soft drop damper as describe in point above. Unscrew the bolts (Fig 22, Item 23) and
the nuts (Fig 22, Item 24).
