To lower the split side rail:

Hold either split side rail handle (

). Pull the blue release lever

(

) and lower the split side rail (

), holding the split side rail until

it is completely lowered. The split side rail folds down below the
mattress platform.

To raise the split side rail:

Hold either split side rail handle (

). Pull the split side rail up

and away from the bed until it locks in the raised position.

NOTE
The head end and foot end split side rails operate in the same way.

Make sure the locking mechanism is securely engaged when the split
side rails are raised.
