ASSEMBLY
WARNING:
Ensure the electrical cord (or extension cord) loops below
the electrical outlet to form a “drip loop.” This will prevent
water from running down the cord into the electrical
outlet, which can result in electric shock.
Turn on the water supply fully and then start the pump.
Allow water to run through the misting tubes to pressurize
the assembly.
Check each connection and fitting on the misting tube
assembly for leaks. If leaks are present, refer to the
Troubleshooting
section later in the manual.
NOTE:
It is normal for water to spray from the drain
valve when the pump is initially turned on. The valve will
close once the misting tube assembly has been properly
pressurized.
After you have inspected the assembly, turn off the pump,
shut off the water supply, and disconnect the pump from
the power supply.
MOUNTING THE MISTING KIT
See Figures 12 - 13.
WARNING:
Install hanging mounts in an area where no electrical
wires, utility cables, pipes, or other obstructions are
located. Contact your local utility company or a qualified
electrician if you are unsure. Ensure hanging mounts and
misting tubes are securely installed to prevent falling
object or slippery surface hazard. Failure to follow these
instructions can result in electrical shock or other serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked
to comply with ANSI Z87.1 when using a hammer to
install the hanging mounts and misting tube. Failure to
do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes
resulting in possible serious injury.
To obtain the best spray area (mist curtain), we recommend
that the misting tube be secured to an overhead support.
Always mount in a suitable location for the misting kit away
from electrical devices and switches.
To mount the misting kit:
Disconnect the misting tube assembly from the hose
adaptor.
Determine the best location for the pump and misting
tube assembly.
Attach hanging mounts to the misting tube assembly. A
mount should be placed on both sides of the elbow and
slip lock connectors.
Using a hammer, install the hanging mounts and misting
tubes. To allow for proper draining, mount the connector
with the drain valve slightly lower than the rest of the
assembly.
NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the misting tubes during
installation.
Reinstall the misting tube assembly to the hose adaptor.
WARNING:
Ensure all components of misting kit are properly
assembled and installed prior to operation and that the
system does not leak water. Improper connections and/
or leaks can result in a slippery surface and create a slip
and fall hazard or cause other possible serious injury.
