This connector is used to connect to a network adapter card that supports Wake-On-LAN
(WOL). WOL is the industry standard term used to describe the technology used to
remotely wake a computer system. A network adapter card that supports WOL has a
very-low-power mode to monitor the network for a special data packet that can wake up
the machine from
standby mode (commonly known as S3) or hibernate mode (commonly
known as S4).
Connect your WOL cable from your network adapter card to this connector
only if you
want to remotely wake up your computer system using a WOL compliant network
adapter.
