AT&D Data Terminal Ready (DTR) status
Determines the modems behaviour when DTR becomes inactive.
0 - The DTR signal becoming inactive at the standard &Q settings gives the following:
&Q0,&Q5,&Q6 : The DTR signal is ignored and is supposed to be ‘ON’.
Through this, it is possible to work with terminals which
have no DTR signal.
&Q1,&Q4 : The DTR signal becoming inactive switches the modem
‘off-line’. This does not influence auto answer.
&Q2,&Q3 : The DTR signal becoming inactive switches the modem
‘off-line’. Auto answer is not possible.
1 - The DTR signal becoming inactive at the standard &Q settings gives the following:
&Q0.&Q1,&Q4,&Q5,&Q6 : The DTR signal becoming inactive is seen by the modem
as if an asynchronous escape sequence was received.
The modem returns to the asynchronous command mode
without breaking off the connection.
&Q2,A&3 : The DTR signal becoming inactive switches the mode
‘off-line’. Auto answer is not possible.
2 - The DTR signal becoming inactive switches the modem ‘off-line’and auto answer is
not possible. This does not depend on the &Q setting (default).
3 - The DTR signal becoming inactive at the standard &Q settings gives the following:
&Q0,&Q1,&Q4,&Q5,&Q6 : The DTR signal becoming inactive makes the modem
execute a soft reset like at the reception of an ATZ
command it would have been done. The AT&Y setting
determines which profile is loaded.
&Q2,&Q3 : The DTR signal becoming inactive switches the modem
‘off-line’. Auto answer is not possible.
With AT&Q5 or AT&Q6, the working is the same as with AT&Q0.
