AT*V
Polarity check on/off
Switch on or off Polarity check with this command. If on, this function will
check the polarity of the line before dialback. If the polarity is not correct, an
illegal user could be trying to get access to the modem.
It is recommended to disable polarity check if the secondline option (AT&J1)
is used.
Syntax:
AT*Vn (n=0 or n=1)
0 - Polarity check is off
1 - Polarity check is on (default)

Data Encryption
AT%D
DES on/off
DES encryption can be enabled or disabled with this command. Use AT%D
only at the remote site.
DES at the host site is controlled by the entries. See also AT*P.
If DES for a particular user is enabled by the AT*P command, the
accompaning remote modem should be programmed with the AT%D2
command. To store this setting to NVM memory use the AT&W command.
Syntax:
AT%Dn (n=0, 1, 2)
0 - DES is off (default)
1 - DES is on
2 - DES is on during answer mode
AT*K
Change the DES keys
Use this command to alter one of the two DES-keys. Both keys are needed for
triple-DES encryption and decryption. Both DES keys must be the same in
both modems. In practice this means that all modems using DES and calling
to one TRON Secure 33.6 must have the same keys. The DES keys are case-
sensitive and must always be 8 characters long. A reset (ATZ or power-off
and on again) is necessary to activate the new DES keys.
Syntax:
AT*Kn:kkkkkkkk
Change key n to kkkkkkkk
Example: AT*K2:WUhFENOS
change DES key nr. 2 to WUhFENOS
