General Secure Commands
AT*C
change operator password
For security reasons it is advisable to change the modems Operator
password every now and then! Of course this command is accessible only if
the modem is in Operator-mode
Syntax:
AT*Cpw
Example:
AT*CKLM747
this changes the operator password to KLM747
The operator password is NOT case-sensitive, so klm747
is the same password. The maximum length of the
password is 8 characters.
AT*E
Exit operator mode
use this command to quit the operator mode. The operator mode also ends as
soon as the modem receives a call. Also a power-up sequence will disable
Operator-mode.
Syntax:
AT*E
AT*O
Enter Operator mode
Most secure commands require that the modem is in Operator mode before
they are executed. Use AT*O to enter Operator-mode.
The default factory password entered by Allied Data Technologies is ‘TRON’.
It is strongly recommended that you change this default password to your
own as soon as possible with the AT*C command.
Syntax:
AT*Opw (pw=password)
Example:
AT*OFLY737
the modem will check if the operator password is FLY737.
If it is, the modem will report ‘OPERATOR MODE’. If the
password is invalid the ‘ERROR’ message will appear.
To remind you that the modem is in the operator mode,
each AT command will be followed by the message
‘OPERATOR MODE’.
Entering the operator password is not case-sensitive.
See the command AT*E to quit operator mode.
The operator mode will also be ended when the modem receives a call.
