IP Subnet Mask
Enter the IP subnet mask provided by your network administrator so the IP address can be
recognized on the LAN.
•
If DHCP is not enabled, this field is the subnet mask.
•
If DHCP is enabled, this field provides the subnet mask only if a server responds to the DHCP
request otherwise leave it blank.
Default Gateway
Enter the default gateway IP address provided by your network administrator. If DHCP is enabled,
leave this field blank.
IPv6 Protocol
Determine how the IP addresses are allocated, for example DHCP, Static, and Auto-configuration.
Internet Protocol (IP) defines how computers communicate over a network. IPv6 is supported.

Username
The username want to use for this WAP.
Password
The password you want to use for this WAP.
SNMP Community
•
To use Simplified Network Management Protocol (SNMP), enter a community name. SNMP is
an application-layer protocol that supports message-oriented communication between
SNMP management stations and agents. This community name automatically appears in the
list of users authorized to view and make changes to the management system when SNMP is
enabled.

The SNMP community string is used like a username and is for authentication, privacy, and
authorization services within SNMP. Choose for this community to have read-only or read/
write capabilities.

Read-only indicates that the access point lets only SNMP read access. Using this option,
you cannot change access point configuration settings.

Read-write indicates that the access point lets SNMP read and write access. This setting
lets you change the access point configuration.
