Maintenance
2. Remove any accumulated dust or debris from the inside of the assembly.
3. Remove any dirty or dried lubricant from the ball-screw. Use a clean, lint-free cloth with a side-to-side
motion. A swab soaked in Isopropyl Alcohol may be used to remove stubborn debris.
4. Clean the end of the ball-screw nut and wiper with a clean, lint-free cloth or swab.
5. Clean the precision rail guides using a similar technique.
6. Apply a thin, continuous film of lubricant to the ball-screw threads and precision rail guides. A good
quality, natural bristle artist's brush makes an excellent applicator.
7. Move the stage to the opposite end of travel to work the grease into the ball screw and cross-roller
bearings.
8. Restore power and drive the stage to the opposite end of travel to work the grease into the ball-screw
and precision rail guides.
9. Repeat steps 1 through 7 for any areas covered by the original table position.
10. Restore power to the stage; drive the stage table back to its original position to redistribute lubricants.
