2. The machine remembers the point on the disc at which playback was paused.
3. Press the PLAY/ENTER button, to continue playing from the point at which it has been paused.
4. Press the
STOP button twice, to cancel playback completely and to return to the start of the disc.
5. Then press the PLAY/ENTER button, to start playing from the start of the disc.
6. The machine plays all titles, chapters or soundtracks in sequence.
MENU: Playback using the disc menu
Normally, DVD, SVCD and VCD 2.0 discs have their own disc menu. Playback with the help of the disc menu is also
an option for MPEG4-Discs. In the Disc menu, you can select e.g. a title (film) or set the required subtitle or audio
language. The content of each disc menu depends on the disc manufacturer. Because of this, disc menus may differ
significantly from each other. The machine has no influence over the content of a disc menu.
DVD-Discs
1. Insert a DVD disc into the disc tray. The disc main menu appears automatically on the screen.
2. You can also press the MENU button whilst a DVD disc is playing, to show the content of the disc menu on the
screen.
3. Using the Navigation buttons

select the required menu item.
• Alternatively you can directly enter the number of the required menu item using the digit buttons 0-9/ 10+.
4. Press the PLAY/ENTER button to start Play.
VCD-Discs
1. If there is a VCD-Disc in the disc tray and you have pressed the MENU button, the information on whether the
playback control function is active - PBC ON - or is inactive - PBC OFF.
2. If the playback control is inactive PBC OFF - the VCD-Menu appears on the screen where you can select a menu
item using the Navigation buttons

3. Then press the PLAY/ENTER button to start Play.
4. If the playback control is active PBC ON you must deactivate the playback control to open the, VCD-Menu.
5. To deactivate the playback control (PBC, press the MENU button, until the message PBC OFF appears on the
screen.
TITLE: Playback with the help of the menu
DVD discs are normally divided into larger sections called Titles. A title normally corresponds to a film. Individual
titles have their own menus called title menus. A title menu may be music or video clips. Titles are divided into
chapters. Normally you can select all these elements in one title menu.
The contents of each title menu depend on the disc manufacturer. Because of this, title menus may differ signifi-
cantly from each other. The machine has no influence over the content of a title menu.
1. Whilst a DVD-Disc is playing, press the title button TITLE to show the title index (title menu) of the playing DVD
disc on the screen.
2. Select the required menu item with the Navigation buttons

3. Press the PLAY/ENTER button to confirm the selection and to start Play.
4. The machine starts to play the selected title.
