VOLUME UP
and
VOLUME DOWN:
Turn the VOLUME knob in the UP direction to increase the volume. Turn the
VOLUME knob in the DOWN direction to lower the volume.
8.
EJECT
: Press EJECT, to open the disc tray. You can then insert a DVD- or Audio-Disc into the disc tray with the
label side face up. Press EJECT again to close the disc tray. In most cases, the disc starts to play automatically
after the disc tray has closed.
9.
PLAY/ENTER:
Press PLAY/ENTER, to continue playing the disc again after pausing. Press PLAY/ENTER, to confirm
the selection of a menu item or an entry.
10. Ports for recording media:

Memory card reader:
Plug an SD/MMC/MS-memory card e.g. from a digital camera into the slot (socket) of
the memory card reader.
The device can playback the contents of a memory card e.g. photos.
•
USB Port:
Connect a USB device e.g. an MP3 Player directly to the USB Port of the device. The device can
playback the contents of a USB device e.g. Music files.
Remarks:
The function keys on the front of the device perform the same function as the corresponding functions on the
remote control.
Ports on the back of the device

VIDEO
(Video Output): Use the VIDEO-Output to connect a television to the device. The VIDEO Output only
carried the Video Signal. To carry audio, you must set up an extra audio connection through the left and right
audio output of the device (FL and FR AUDIO OUTPUT) to the connected television.

FM
(FM wire aerial): Fully uncoil the wire aerial. For best results, try to fine tune the reception by turning and
uncoiling/coiling the aerial.

FL
and
FR AUDIO OUTPUT
(right and left audio output): Use the left (FL) and right (FR) audio output to carry
the audio signal if you have connected the device to a television through the component output or VIDEO
output. You can also use this output to connect audio device to the DVD system.
4.
VIDEO OUTPUT (Y, Pb/Cb, Pr/Cr)
(Component output): Use the component output to connect a television to
the device. The component output only carries a video signal. To carry the audio signal, you must set up an ad-
ditional audio connection through the left and right audio output of the device (FL and FR AUDIO OUTPUT) to
the connected television.
5.
SCART OUTPUT
(Scart-Output): Use the SCART connector to connect a television to the device. The SCART
output carries pictures as well as stereo sound. You therefore need an additional audio connection for audio
transmission between the device and the connected television.
