OSD LANGUAGE: Screen menu language
In the OSD LANGUAGE menu item, you can change the language of the screen (OSD) and setup menu.
To set the preferred language of the screen menu:
1. Using the navigation buttons

or
▼
select the required language e.g. GERMAN.
2. Then press PLAY/ENTER, to confirm the selection.
3. The screen (OSD) and setup menu is shown in the selected language.
CLOSE CAPTION: Subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing
In this menu item, you can activate (ON) or deactivate (OFF) the subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. The
subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing differ from normal subtitles which simply translate film dialogue into
another language. The subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing also supply additional information about the plot
of a film.
The following settings are available:
• ON: Select this option to activate – display on the screen – the subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
• OFF: Select this option to deactivate (hide) the subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Note:
• The subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing must be supported by the respective DVD disc. If this is not the
case, they will not be displayed on the screen.
• Not all TV sets support the subtitles for the deaf and the hard of hearing.
SCREEN SAVER: Screen Saver
In this menu item, you can activate (ON) or deactivate (OFF) the screen saver.
The screen saver should protect the screen of the television which is connected to the machine.
The following settings are available:
• ON: Select this option to activate the screen saver. If the screen saver is activated, it will switch on automati

cally after a few minutes if:
- The disc has stopped playing (after you have pressed
STOP or II PAUSE).
- The disc tray is open.
- If there is no disc in the disc tray.
- The screen has been frozen (static image).
• OFF: Select this option to deactivate the screen saver. The screen saver will not appear under any circumstances.
If the screen saver is activated, press any button to switch off the screen saver.
LAST MEMORY: Save last location on disc
In this menu item, you activate (ON) or deactivate (OFF) the function.
The following settings are available:
• ON: Select this option to activate the function. The system tags the point at which the disc was last stopped
and continues playing from this point if you switch the machine on.
• OFF: Select this option, to deactivate the function. The system always starts to play the disc from the start of
the disc.
