Connection

3.9.5

Power Off Procedure

To power off the system, please follow the steps outlined below.

1.

Stop I/O access to the system.
Close any applications running on the host computers to stop all I/O access to 
the system.

2.

Flush the cache.
Locate the C_Dirty LED (refer to Controller LED for RAID Models) on the 
controller module to check whether cached data remains in the DRAM (the LED 
is emitting an amber light). 

3.

Use the Shutdown Controller function to flush all cached data (please refer to 
the SANWatch manual).

4.

Once the cache is flushed, the system can be powered down.

Note!

Before powering off the system, ensure that no time-consuming 
processes, such as “Regenerate Logical Drive Parity” or “Media Scan,” 
are occurring.
