C.3 After Mounting
Once the enclosure is successfully mounted, refer to the user manual provided with
your system for further instructions on completing the hardware installation process.
The user manual provides detailed explanations regarding the installation/mainte-
nance of hard drives, controllers, optional modules (supercapacitor battery, CBM,
etc.), cooling modules, power supplies, cable connections, topology configurations,
etc.
C.3.1 Safety Reminders
To relocate the enclosure after installation
 Cease all input/output operations, shutdown the system, and disconnect all
cables (please refer to the user manual for further details).
 Empty all drive bays (hard drives and hard drive trays) and separately transport
them in safe packaging.
 Modules pre-installed in the enclosure need not be removed.
When the system is in operation

Module and drive bays must not be empty! A dummy cover/plate is required to
stabilize the internal airflow.
 Should a module fail, leave it in its place until you have the replacement item on-
hand to replace the broken module.
 Reserve at least 18 ~ 20 cm of free space at the rear of the enclosure to ensure
adequate ventilation.
 Avoid touching the PCB and gold-finger connections.
