HYDRAULIC OIL TANK DRAIN OR REMOVAL
The hydraulic oil tank holds 17 gallons. Before draining the tank, make sure that your drain container(s) will
hold this amount of oil.
1
Open the engine cover, disconnect the battery terminals and remove the battery from the machine.
2
Position a large oil container (not more than 24 inches high) against or just below the machine’s rear
bumper, behind the battery tray.
3
Loosen fittings “A”, “B” and “C” (see Figure 1). Then remove fitting “A” from the pump and quickly move
the hose against the top of the rear bumper. Reposition the fittings on the hose so the oil drains neatly
into the drain container(s).
4
If you are just changing the hydraulic oil...
•
flush all contamination out of the tank
•
reconnect the hose to the accessory pump
•
tighten all fittings
•
reinstall the battery
•
pump the new oil through an automotive-type oil filter and into the tank. Use only 10W-30 motor
oil.
•
run the engine for 5 minutes with all hydraulic motors off. This allows the new oil to be filtered
before passing through the motors.
