SCRUB BRUSH SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: Scrub brushes will not turn or go down.
1
Check fuse F5.
•
If fuse is blown, replace it and try brushes again.
•
If fuse is not blown, go to step 2.
2
Raise the hopper and install the safety support on the hopper lift cylinder. Then look at the back side of
the dashboard to make sure that the connector plug is properly installed in the brush switch.
WARNING!
Never work under the hopper without the hopper safety support installed on the hopper lift
cylinder.
•
If the connector appears loose, push it firmly onto the switch and try the brushes again.
•
If the connector is properly installed, go to step 3.
3
Turn the key switch on but do not start the engine. Put the brush switch in the ON position.
•
Remove the lower-rear body panel from the right side of the machine, for access to the motor control
valve.
•
Locate the green/black wire connected to solenoid S1. Measure voltage between the green/black wire
and the frame.
•
12 volts - look for a problem in the S1 solenoid valve or coil.
•
0 volts - go to step 4.
4
Raise the hopper and pull the connector plug off of the brush switch. Measure the voltage between the
orange wire and the frame of the machine.
•
12 volts - replace the brush switch
•
0 volts - look for a defect in the orange wire between the fuse box and the brush switch.
