4.0 CFC DESCRIPTION
The CFC scales have an enclosure with all components mounted within
it. To gain access to the components remove the 6 screws securing the
cover to the base.
The basic unit composed of:
Load
Cell
Top Pan
Load Cell frame
Transformer / external adapter
Main PCB assembly with 3 LCDs
Battery
Keypad
All models of CFC are similar except the selection of load cells and the
program.
Normally if a problem is found with a circuit board the most cost effective
method of solving the problem is to replace the circuit board.
The main PCB assembly includes:
Sections for load cell input filter
A/D converter (AU1)
Microprocessor and support circuits (U1, U4)
Power supply / battery charger circuits (U3, T1)
Please note that whenever a new PCB is installed it should match the
processor and software that is intended to be used.
As the PCBs fit many models, there is no data loaded into the memory
devices. When fitting a new PCB, always set all factory and user
parameters and perform all calibrations to allow the ADC to begin
running and weight to be displayed.
