Control unit

Contents of this chapter

This chapter

•

describes the connections of the BCU control unit

•

contains the specifications of the inputs and outputs of the control units.

General

The BCU control unit consists of a BCON control board (and a BIOC I/O and power supply
board) built in a metal housing. The BCU is mounted separately from the converter
module(s), and connected to the module(s) by fiber optic cables.

In this manual, the name “BCU” represents the control unit types BCU-02, BCU-12 and
BCU-22. These have a different number of converter module connections (2, 7 and 12
respectively) but are otherwise identical.
