Call from the Private Leased-Line Network
In the private leased-line network, direct dialling plans are set up only if calls are to
be routed to their destinations via call distribution elements in order to benefit
from the advantages of the flexible routing properties of call distribution elements
(see
"Call Distribution Element (CDE)", page 88
Call distribution elements can be dialled up directly if they have been allocated a
phone number in the numbering plan and if they exist as PISN users in the other
PINXs. However, without a direct dialling plan it is more difficult to achieve a num-
bering that matches.
Tab. 32
Flexible routing with and without direct dialling plan; difference in numbering
Calls from the private leased-line network do not have any DDI numbers. If you set
up a separate direct dialling plan, however, these numbers can also be handled in
the same way as DDI numbers.
Tip:
Only individual numbers can be organized via a direct dialling plan; the
others are organized directly in a numbering plan.
