Answering a Call Waiting Call
When you get a call waiting indication (call waiting tone or ring signal and
a line key
is flashing), there are the following possibilities:
1.
Park the ongoing call.
2.
End the ongoing call.
3.
Reject the call waiting request.
If you want to park the ongoing call, do the following to answer the call
waiting call:
1.
When the ongoing call is on one of the line keys
and another
line key
flashes to indicate the call waiting call.
2.
Press the flashing line key
. The call on the other line is automat-
ically parked.
3.
To retrieve the other call press the line key again.
If you want to end the ongoing call and then answer the call waiting call:
1.
End the ongoing call.
2.
Wait for ring signal.
3.
Lift the handset to answer the waiting call.
If you want to reject the call waiting request:
1.
Press
Reject.
2.
Continue with the ongoing call.

Canceling Call Waiting
To cancel call waiting, replace the handset. You can also press
.
8.2.3 Intrusion
You can intrude on an ongoing call on a busy extension.
Note:
If intrusion is not allowed at either the calling extension or the
called extension, you will continue to hear a busy tone.
Before the intrusion is executed, an intrusion tone is sent to the parties
in the ongoing call as a warning. After the intrusion is executed, all
parties will hear the intrusion tone. The intrusion tone will be heard as
long as all parties are connected.
Note:
The intrusion feature is enabled by the system administrator. This
means that intrusion can be blocked for use on your extension.
