Setting K-Factor
Press
(3)
key to display K-factor setting page (pic. 11) in photometric measurement. The
indicating line at the bottom of the page asks users for a K-factor value.
At the bottom of the page, set the K-
Factor value by pressing the numeric
keys
(0~9)
,
(.)
and
(-)
key (4.2).
Ce
key
(4.3c) is used to cancel previous data.
Press

digits number (0~±9999). In case the num-
ber you set exceeds four digits, the system
will delete automatically what has been
set and you should enter new data.
Quitting parameter setting
Press
Return
key (4.3e) to quit parameter setting and go back to the main menu of pho-
tometric measurement.
Setting working wavelength
On the main menu of photometric measurement, press
GoTo WL
(4.4b) key to display the
following page (pic. 12) and set the working wavelength for photometric measurement.
At the bottom of this page, enter the
wavelength value by pressing the nume-
ric keys
(0~9)
and decimal point
(.)
(4.2).
Ce
key (4.3c) is used to cancel previous
data. Press
Enter
key (4.3d) to confirm
the numeric entry and quit by pressing
Return
(4.3e). If there is no data to add,
press
Return
key (4.3e) to exit this page
directly. The program permits setting a
5-digits number. The range is from 190
to 1100.
In case the number you set exceeds five digits, the system will delete automatically
what has been set and you should enter new data.
Auto-zeroing (100%T setting)
On the main menu of photometric measurement, press
Autozero
(4.4a) key to set Abs
zero automatically at the current measuring wavelength. Before starting auto-zeroing, put

(4.2).
Ce
key (4.3c) is used to clear off the previous entry. After the concentration
is entered, the system will ask users to enter the absorbance values. Press
Enter
(4.3d) to
confirm the numeric entry and quit. If nothing is to be entered, press
Return
(4.3e) to quit
directly. The program permits setting a 4-digits number in a range from 0 to 9999. In case
the number you set exceeds four digits, the system will delete what has been entered and
you should start a new entry. When a decimal number is entered, a "0" should be put befo-
re the decimal point, such as “0.5”.
Press
(2)
again and repeat the above procedure if concentration and absorbance of other
standards are to be entered.
Starting standard sample measurement
Press
(3)
key to display the standard sample measurement page as shown in picture 36.
The system shows that sample No.
n
to be measured should be placed in cell No.1.
After the standard sample is properly
placed, press
Start/Stop
key (4.4c) to start
measuring. The measuring result will be
displayed on LCD. Users can repeat
measurings of the same sample several
times, but only the last measured result
is saved. After the measurement is fini-
shed, press
Return
key (4.3e) to quit.
Pressing
(3)
key again the standard
number increases by 1. If the standard
number exceeds the set number of stan-
dard samples, the standard number will
return to the first standard (No. 1).
Building the calibration curve
After data of standard samples is
entered and measurement is completed,
press (4) key to carry out curve fitting
and set the calibration curve. Parameters
of the calibration curve will be displa-
yed on LCD as shown in picture 37.
Press
