8. TROUBLESHOOTING
Diagnose of initialization
When the power switch is turned on,
the spectrophotometer makes various
checks and sets many initialized parame-
ter values (pic. 54). The system gives sta-
tus information after each operation is
completed. If no abnormality is detected,
it displays
OK
. If an abnormality is detec-
ted, it displays
Err
and asks whether the
initialization continues or not. The status
of instrument will be known after finis-
hing the initialization.
In order to verify that measures are correct certified filters to check absorbance are
required, and didimium filters to check peaks and valleys. In case wrong measures are
detected check troubleshooting chart and, if the error is not in the chart, please ask our
Technical Service Department.
Problems
If the spectrophotometer malfunctions, it is probably due to the deterioration of consu-
mable parts, operator mis-operation or incomplete maintenance. Make checks according
to the following chart. If a major difficulty occurs, contact our Technical Service
Department.

securely connected;
