STD-80 Compatibility
The ZT 8954 is designed for use in an
STD 32 backplane environment. While designed
to be backward compatible with STD-80 systems, the ZT 8954 is not guaranteed to
work in all system topologies.
STD Bus Loading Characteristics
The unit load is a convenient method for specifying the input and output drive capability
of STD bus cards. In the STD bus systems, one unit load is equal to one LSTTL load as
follows:
Maximum high level input current:
20 µAmps
Maximum low level input current:
-400 µAmps
The STD bus unit load reflects input current requirements at worst case conditions over
the recommended supply voltage and ambient temperature ranges. An output rate at 60
unit loads can drive 60 STD bus cards having input rated at one unit load.
The following "
STD 32 Bus Loading, P Connector
" table shows load values for STD-80
signals (P signals). The following "
STD 32 Bus Loading, E Connector
" table shows load
values for signals used in STD 32 systems (E signals).
†
Maximum values are for motor start and step operations.
