SECTION 4C - CALL COUNTING
Example: to reset the page counts for Users 0 through 99 (inclusive)
and the message count for only User 45:
GETTING A PRINTOUT OF CALL COUNTS
If the Model 16 is programmed from a computer terminal that also connects
to a printer, it is usually possible to enable an "echo" function that
causes anything displayed on the screen to also be printed on paper. This
could be enabled just before displaying Call Counts and the operator would
get a hard copy of the displayed information. When the display was finished
the operator would turn off the "echo" and finish Programming as before.
DOWNLOADING COUNTING DATA
It may be more convenient to process the Call Counting data on a file in
another computer. This is most easily accomplished by entering Program Mode
with a computer with a "terminal emulation" mode that downloads files.
Using such a "terminal" the operator will activate a function that causes
the computer to store in its memory everything that is displayed on the
screen. When the required data has all been displayed, the operator
deactivates the download function and is free to process the data stored in
memory without being "on-line" and tying up the source further.
To download the Call Counting data, the operator would:
1)
Access the Programming Mode of the Model 16 with a computer running
in a "terminal emulation" mode.
2)
Select the System Programming Menu, then the Call Counting Menu.
3)
Select D for Display counts.
4)
Activate the Download Function on the "terminal" computer. From this
point on, the computer will store all the data sent to it by the Model
16 and displayed on its screen.
5)
Start the Display from the Model 16 by typing in a starting User
number and CR.
6)
Deactivate the Itwnltad Function when as much of the Call Counting
data as was wanted had been received.
7)
Clear the Call and Message Counts for all of the Users that were
displayed.
7)
Terminate Programming Mode from the Model 16 as usual.
