Safety instructions
Switching the drives off
You are exposed to the danger area of the CMM when working on the
measuring table. With the drives on, unintentional travel movements
may lead to injuries.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unintentional travel movements within the
danger area.
Crushing and cutting of body parts. Risk to the eyes caused by the styli.

Risk of injury due to unintentional travel movements must be ex-
cluded.

Move the bridge to a safe position.

Switch the drives off.

Activate the »crane interlock« when using a lifting device to place
the workpiece on the measuring table.
The crane interlock is an optional part of the »safety position« func-
tion which requires additional hardware and software.
Cleaning the measuring table and workpiece
The measuring table must be free of grease. Workpieces may slide and
fall off the measuring table, thus representing a risk to persons and the
CMM.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to a workpiece sliding down as a result of a
lubricating film on the measuring table.
Crushing and cutting of body parts.

Make sure that the workpiece and the measuring table are free
from lubricants before placing a workpiece on top of it.

Clean the workpiece and the measuring table before placing a
workpiece on the measuring table.

Remove any greasy or oily substances from the measuring table and
the workpiece.
