ZAP BUILT-‐IN 318MHz RADIO
The 8825-‐R4 is supplied with two transmitters,
keyfobs, a visor clip, a wall mounted transmitter
holder and a built in receiver in the Control Box
(Pic 18).
To program a transmitter into the receiver:
Press the Learn Button until the Receiver Light
comes on; Release the Learn Button and press a
transmitter button; The Receiver Light should
flash 5 times; Release the transmitter button. If
there is more than one door on a site then
button 2 can be used to operate door 2 etc.
To erase the transmitters from a receiver: Press
and hold the Learn Button; The Receiver Light
should come on and then go out after about 12
seconds; Release the Learn Button; The Receiver
Light should flash once.
SAFETY CIRCUIT WIRING
A monitored safety device must be installed
otherwise the supplied radios will only open the
door, the auto-‐close feature will not work,
constant pressure on the illuminated button will
be required to close the door and calibration

constant pressure on the illuminated Control
Box button.
Follow the installation instructions supplied with
the photo-‐eyes. The wires should be fed
through the hole in the back of the Control Box
and wired into the field wiring terminal plug at
the positions marked SAFETY ‘+’ and ‘–‘ (Pic 19).
Note: The supplied photo-‐eyes are not polarity
sensitive and can be wired either way around.

When the photo-‐eyes are properly aligned, the
red safety light on the Control Box circuit board
should switch off. Refer to safety edge program-‐
ming on page 12 if a safety edge is to be fitted.

DOOR CALIBRATION
When the basic wiring is complete the Operator
can be calibrated and the door operation may
be tested. The default setting for the Operator is
to open until a physical end stop is encountered.
If the door must stop prior to a physical end stop
then refer to the Installer Programming on page
11 to alter the open stopping mode.
Make sure that the AUTOCLOSE switch is OFF.
Release the Manual Override Lever and move
the door to a part open position. Re-‐engage the
override lever.

Release the button when a beep is heard after 3
seconds. The beeper will now sound repeatedly
to indicate that it is ready to learn the door
height.

button, the
Operator Light will turn on, the opening light will
flash on the circuit board and the door should
start to open. If the door starts to close instead,
release the
PROGRAM
button and move the
DIRECTION
