Placing Calls
You can use your phone like a regular phone to place calls in many ways easily.

Placing Calls Using the Dialer
You can enter a phone number by using the dialer to place a call.
Procedure
1.
Do one of the following:
• Pick up the handset.
• Press the Speakerphone key.
• Press the HEADSET key.
2.
Enter the desired number.
You can also tap a desired contact from the search result list, favorites screen, history screen or contacts screen.
3.
Tap
or # key.
Placing Multiple Calls
When you are in a call, you can hold your current call and place a new call. Only one active call (the call that has
audio associated with it) can be in progress at any time.
Procedure
1.
During a call, tap Press
or select
Hold
.
The active call is placed on hold.
2.
Tap
New Call
.
3.
Enter the desired number.
You can also tap a desired contact from the search result list, favorites screen, history screen or contacts screen.
4.
Tap
or # key.
Placing Calls from a Locked Phone
On the locked phone, you can only place calls to the emergency and the authorized numbers, unless your system
administrator allows you to place calls to the contacts.
Procedure
1.
Tap
Emerg Call.
