8.6 Important Points for Encoder Mounting and Wiring
Pay attention to the following points when mounting and wiring the Encoder.

Make sure the signal cable between the Orientation Card and the Load Shaft Encoder is 20 m maxi-
mum.

Yaskawa has prepared signal cables to the specifications shown in the following table. Purchase signal
cables in the standard length required for your applications.

from power cables.

If rotation is clockwise as seen from the end of the Encoder shaft during forward rotation of the load
shaft, reverse phase A and phase B as shown in the following diagram.
