When using the flushing attachment
(Option)
1)
Remove the top cowling and the pro-
peller.
2)
Install a flushing attachment to the
lower unit.

Avoid running the outboard at high rpm
while on the flushing attachment or over-
heating could occur.

Do not touch or remove electrical parts
when starting or during operation.

Keep hands, hair and clothes away
from flywheel and other rotating parts
while engine is running.

When using a water tank
1)
Remove the top cowling.
2)
Insert the lower case of outboard
motor into the water tank with uplight
position.
3)
Fill the tank with fresh water to above
level of the anti-cavitation plate.
4)
Run the engine at a fast idle for 10-15
minutes in Neutral.
5)
After stopping the engine, take out
the outboard motor from the water
tank and wipe off any excess water.

If the fresh water level is below the level
of the anticavitation plate, or if the water
supply is insufficient, engine seizure may
occur.
