Upper case assembly and mount
Removing the upper case
1. Drain:
• Engine oil
2. Remove:
• Upper case assembly
TIP:
Before removing the upper case assembly,
loosen the upper mount bolts “1” and lower
mount cover bolts (PORT and STBD) “2”.
Installing the upper case
1. Install:
• Plate
• Upper mounting bolt
• Upper mount
• Upper mount bolt (temporarily tighten)
2. Install:
• Washer “1”
• Rubber washer “2”
• Washer “3”
• Lower mounting bolt “4”
• Lower mount “5”
• Washer “6”
• Cap “7”
• Lower mount cover “8”
• Lower mount cover bolt “9”
TIP:
Tighten the lower mount cover bolts temporar-
ily.
3. Install:
• Upper case assembly “1”
• Ground lead “2”
• Washer “3”
• Upper mounting nut “4”
• Lower mounting nut “5”
4. Tighten:
• Upper mount bolt
• Lower mount cover bolt

24 N·m (2.4 kgf·m, 18 lb·ft)
