Check the steering movement for smooth
operation.

N O T E :

With the friction lever turned fully to the

right, check the tiller for smooth movement.

Completion Check

Static Check

1.

Check the shift operation. Make sure the shift
action is smooth for Forward, Neutral and
Reverse.

2.

Check the throttle operation for smoothness
from fully closed to fully open.

N O T E :

Shift forward and then check the throttle

operation.

3.

Check steering friction to make sure proper
friction is obtained. Move the tiller handle tilt
up/down and check that the cables and wires
are not stretched.

4.

Check the power trim/tilt switch.
a. Connect the battery.
b. Push and hold the switch to “UP”, the

motor will tilt up.

c. Push and hold the switch to “DN”, the

motor will tilt down.

d. Release the switch, the motor will stop at

its current position.
