Reassembly
To reassemble your jet drive, follow the assembly
procedures in “Assembly and Installation” (page
2-23).
Liner Replacement
NOTE: On pumps produced beginning in 1997,
the liner is held in place by a 1/8"-thick flange
instead of bolts.
1. Mark the liner bolts for reassembly in the
same locations, and remove the bolts.
2. Loosen the liner by tapping on the liner edge
with a long drift through the intake grille. Lift
out the liner.
3. Drop the new liner into position. Line up one
of the liner bolts and lightly thread it in. It
may be necessary to tap or press the liner into
the intake housing to locate the liner for
installation of the remaining bolts. Torque
setting for the liner bolts is 11 ft-lb.
NOTE: Be sure to grease the bolt threads prior to
assembly.
4. Sand or file off any burrs in the liner/bolt
areas.
