10. Check:

• Throttle cable joint position
• Loosen the locknut

• Remove shift cable joint

from the set

• Position the shift lever

in the neutral
position.
• Adjust the position of the shift cable
joint until it aligns with the set pin.
The shift cable joint must be screwed in
at least 8mm (0.31 in).
• Install the shift cable joint

onto the
set pin
a
.
• Install the clip
2
and tighten the locknut
3
.
• Move the shift lever to the forward,
neutral and reverse positions and make
sure it shifts smoothly and correctly.
If the shifting operation is unsmooth or
incorrect, repeat the above procedure.
WARNING
Checking steps:
• Fully close the throttle.
• Check that the throttle control lever

touches the fully-closed stopper

Adjustment steps:
• Contact the throttle control lever

with
the fully-closed stopper

.
• Loosen the locknut

and remove the
clip

• Remove throttle cable joint

from the
set pin

• Turn the throttle grip fully-closed position.
• Adjust the position of the throttle cable
joint until it aligns with the set pin.
The throttle cable joint must be screwed
in at least 8mm (0.31 in).
• Install the throttle cable joint

onto the
set pin

• Install the clip

and tighten the locknut
