Maximum speed, parameter P1-01:Maximum speed limit
To deactivate the Energy minimizer function and set a fixed optimal speed, set the
P1-18:Energy frequency parameter to a negative speed. For example, the value -38.0 Hz
means that the pump always runs at 38.0 Hz during Energy-efficient operation.
Alternation
First start
On the first start, or when factory default settings are loaded, the drive uses the same
random alternation scheme as the previous to 4.0 software version does. The new version
Pump identity alternation reduces double pump start occurrence and help save energy,
particularly in large sumps.
To enable the Pump identity alternation scheme, all drives must be given a pump ID
manually. The pump ID is modified by setting the field bus address using parameter
P5-01:Drive fieldbus address.
This table describes how the fieldbus address corresponds to pump id.

Pump identity alternation
Each pump id corresponds to a specific fixed start level which is up to 24 cm below the
start level as defined in parameter P1-15:Start level. When the water level reaches the
stop level and a pump cycle end, all drives randomly select one of the two possible start
levels that are used for the next pump cycle. Pump 1 only has one defined start level and
does not change it, pump 2 and pump 3 alternates around pump 1. The start levels in a
two pump system are 6 cm apart, and is never more than 12 cm apart for a three pump
system.
