Drive Belt Adjustment
WARNING!
Disconnect and lockout power before performing any ser-
vice to the electrical system. For battery-powered equipment, discon-
nect the negative battery terminal cable. For AC-powered equipment,
follow the lockout procedure provided in the safety section (
).Failure to do so may result in injury and/or electrical system
damage.
WARNING!
Before performing service near moving parts such as
blades, pulleys, motors, belts and chains, first turn the key switch to
the OFF (#0) position and remove the key. If the key is turned on and
moving parts activated, serious injury may result.
WARNING!
Do not adjust the engine drive belts or belt support bracket
with the engine running. Doing so may result in serious injury.

CAUTION!
Do not over-tighten the drive belt. Damage to the engine
may result

See the table below for drive belt tension specifications for your model
sawmill. Measure the belt tension with a gauge.
NOTE:
Wood-Mizer offers a belt tension
gauge (Part No. 016309) that will let you accurately measure the belt tension.
