Insert two cable ties through the outer-most holes in the cable loom turret on the rear of the
extruder carriage. These will be used to secure the entire extruder wiring loom once
tightened. Route the wiring for the BLTouch/Fan, Heater Cartridge/Thermistor, Stepper Motor
and Part Cooling Fan in a tidy fashion so that they all meet at the base of the loom turret:
Once all looms meet at the base of the turret, lay them down in the turret, making sure that
there is no strain on any of the cables – there must be a little bit of slack in the cable looms so
that they are not pulling on any component once they are tightened in place. Separate and
straighten all cables carefully trying to avoid any overlaps or cross overs of cables and
carefully wrap the entire loom with the 900mm long piece of Spiral Wrap. Make sure that the
BLTouch connector joints are fully seated and not under strain or about to be disconnected.
Make sure that the spiral wrapping is not tightly wound around the cable loom and that a
high level of flexibility is maintained once the loom is completely wrapped. Add cable ties to
secure the loom and spiral wrap as indicated in the following image:
