Next, we need to fit the Nozzle and Thermal Break. Screw the Brass Nozzle all the way (finger
tight – do not use a socket or spanner) into the heater block noting the correct orientation
(side) of the block. Then screw in the thermal break from the other side of the block (Finger
tight) until it touches the back of the nozzle inside the block:
To tighten the nozzle and thermal break into place, turn the block back over and un-screw
the nozzle counter clock-wise one quarter of a turn (approximately 90 degrees of rotation).
Re-tighten the thermal break by hand so that it touches the rear face of the nozzle inside the
block once again. While supporting the heater block with an adjustable wrench or open-
ended spanner, using a socket driver or ring spanner, re-tighten the nozzle to create a
compression fit between the rear face of the nozzle and the front face of the thermal break
within the heater block. Screw the J-Head Heatsink onto the remaining thread of the thermal
break and gently tighten by hand. Do not over-tighten, a snug fit is all that is required. Over-
tightening of the heatsink will lead to damage of the thin section of the thermal break:
