5.1 Device Manager

Our Device Manager
®
application can be used for the remote management of the router, which is
used for the remote maintenance and reconfiguration of the router in addition to the continuous
monitoring of the operating characteristics (network access, field strength, runtime, QoS). In
addition, it is possible to replace and install the firmware running on the device. You can manage
thousands of routers from this program in this way.
The requested settings can be made individually or for a group of devices in one step.

The
Device Manager settings can be defined in the
Router / Device Manager
menu.
The main importants are the
DM IP Address
, the
DM Port Number
and
DM User Name
.
The default DM Port number is
443
.
These must be also configured in the Device Manager and the router must access the IP address of
the Remote Device Manager server (where the application is executing remotely).
You can check that it is accessed by performing a ping.
