The following is a brief description for each item in the sub menu and its specific operations:
• Size (GB)
The total hard drive storage capacity in GB (gigabytes).
NOTE: If the total Alarm Record partition size is zero (0) and the total Normal Record Partition is 100, then
Alarm video and audio will NOT be recorded in the Normal Record partition, and only Normal Record video
and audio will be saved.
However, if the total Normal Record partition size is zero(0) and the Alarm Record partition is 100, then
Normal video and audio WILL be recorded in addition to Alarm video and audio, in the Alarm Record
partition.
• Auto Overwrite
By default, the DVR will automatically overwrite recorded video and audio hard drive reaches its capacity.
WARNING - If Auto Overwrite is disabled and the hard drive capacity reaches its maximum, the system will
NOT overwrite recorded video and audio. Therefore the DVR will NOT record Alarm or Normal video or
audio until the user presses the Alarm Reset button.
Press ENTER or +/- on the front panel of the DVR or the remote control to disable this setting. Alternatively
use the mouse to make this change.
• HDD Full Action
If Auto Overwrite is disabled, the DVR can sound the buzzer, log the event and email an alert when the
hard drives reaches its maximum capacity. Press ENTER or +/- on the front panel of the DVR or the remote
control to disable this setting. Alternatively use the remote control to make this change.
• Duration
If HDD Full Action is enabled, set the duration that the Alarm Out relay and the buzzer will remain
triggered when the corresponding partition is full. Press +/- buttons on the front panel of the DVR or on
the remote to adjust the time from 3 seconds or 60 minutes or ‘-‘ indefinitely until the Alarm Reset button
is pressed.
• Alarm Out
Define which Alarm Output will be triggered when the corresponding partition is full. Press +/- buttons
on the front panel of the DVR or on the remote control to select N/A or one of the Alarm Outputs - NC (1)
or NO (2).
• Buzzer
By default, the internal buzzer is enabled to sound when the corresponding hard drive partition
is full. Highlight this setting and press ENTER or +/- on the front panel of the DVR or the remote control
to enable or disable this item. Alternatively use the mouse to left-click on this item.
• Log
By default, the DVR will log when the corresponding hard drive partition is full to the event Log (see Section
8.2). Highlight this setting and press ENTER or +/- on the front panel of the DVR or the remote control to
enable or disable this item. Alternatively use the mouse to left-click on this item.
• E-mail
Send an email message to a predefined email address when corresponding hard drive partition is full.
Highlight this setting and press ENTER or +/- on the front panel of the DVR or the remote control to
enable or disable this item. Alternatively use the mouse to left-click on this item. The default setting
is disabled. See Section 6.11.1 for more information on e-mail.
