PC connection
To be able to access the CoatMaster with one of the software environments listed in chapter 4.2, the
computer has to be connected to the CoatMaster. For this purpose there are two possibilities:
1.
For a temporary connection, the WLAN-‐interface is appropriate, as such a cable-‐free opera-‐
tion is possible with a control-‐PC. Each device with a WLAN-‐interface (such as laptop,
smartphone, tablets, monitors, etc.) can be connected with the CoatMaster via this interface.
2.
For a fix installation, we recommend an ethernet-‐connection, as it is less susceptible for dis-‐
turbances as the WLAN-‐interface. For large amounts of data (exports, raw data) the Ether-‐
net-‐connection is faster.
4.4
Network-‐ and administrator settings
Make sure, the CoatMaster is correctly mounted and installed and switch it on. For the putting into
operation use a computer with WLAN-‐interface.
First, adapt the network settings as described in chapter 4.4.1.
Then install the CoatMaster Desktop at least on one Windows-‐computer as described in chapter
4.4.2, so that you can create CoatMaster applications for the coating thickness measurements.
4.4.1
Passwords and IP-‐address with Web Client
Ex works the CoatMaster builds-‐up a WLAN called (SSID) „coatmaster-‐YYY“, where YYY stand the
serial number of the device. It is located on the type plate at the rear side of the CoatMaster
The initial password is „Welcome123“.
If the CoatMaser should be connected via an ethernet-‐interface, you should change the WLAN-‐
password and define the IP-‐address. If the CoatMaster should only be connected via the WLAN-‐
interface, it is sufficient to just change the WLAN-‐password. For this purpose, proceed as follows.
1.
Connect the computer to the WLAN.
2.
Open the web browser, enter the following URL: 10.10.0.1 and confirm with Enter.
The web browser now connect to the CoatMaster and opens the main window of Web Cli-‐
ent.
