Connect the reader unit to the control unit.
The communication between the reader unit and control unit
takes place via a RS-485 interface:
–
A shielded cable must be used for RS-485 data lines of the reader
unit and the inputs of the control unit.

For cable lengths over 3 m, terminate the BUS close to the
cable ends with a resistor between A and B. Suitable values are
between 470 and 220 ohm(#1/8 W)
–
Connect the shielding to earth potential at a point. If the control
unit is installed in a distribution or flush-mounted box, only
voltages below 40 V must be present there.
